Exchange backups are failing with status 130 - system error occurred

Hi,

We are facing an issue while taking backup of Exch 2010 ( DAG Policy ).We configured policy and were able to take backup when it was NBU 7.5.0.4

recently we upgraded to 7.5.0.5 and we are getting lot of issues

1) when ever a job fail/terminate ( Exch 2010) it cause error in VSS Components of 1 of our Exch node

   It makes 'Microsoft Exchange Writer'  ( “Waiting for completion”) Status (5)

   Writer name: 'Microsoft Exchange Writer'

   Writer Id: {76fe1ac4-15f7-4bcd-987e-8e1acb462fb7}

   Writer Instance Id: {2f4226e2-43b6-4082-b5b6-8714a2272cef}

   State: [5] Waiting for completion

   Last error: No error

We tried several times by rebooting the server ( eventhough we cant reboot everytime),stil if any error happens or job fails it will make that vss component error.Why this happens everytime?

We have tried MS Hotfix for VSS also.

2) After Upgrading to 7.5.0.5 lot of jobs are showing unknown status in NBU Console.

3) Eventhough we cancel a job it wont cancel properly and job will show as active status in the console.

Net backup Version : 7.5.0.5

OS Version : Windows 2008 R2 64bit

Exchange : 2010 sp2

well

it seems to be Exchange writers problem

Please reeboot the exchange server, it will resolve this error

Reboot will clear that vss error, but if the job fails/terminate still we will get vss error on the node.
