GUI consoles won't start, but jobs are running....

Hi all,

I have an environment where jobs are still running, but just this morning I noticed that neither the admin nor java consoles were connecting to my master server.  It's not just happening with me, either.

The root passwords have not been changed.

Is there something I can do here without restarting the environment?

check the privildges of the user logged on. it must have administratice rights on the machine.

The user we log in as is root.  Just 12 hours ago the GUI was running for both myself and others, but this moring everyone had been kicked off the GUI.

When starting the java admin GUI, I get the message:

Unable to login, status: 525
Can not connect to the NB-Java authentication
service via VNETD on <master server> on port 13724
