Ghosts of Jobs

Hi.
We run Netbackup 5.1 on Solaris 9.We are facing this issue for the past few months. A number of our windows client backups appear to be active for a long time. when we check the backup details using the GUI it shows only the time the backup started and time it has been active so far.No details abt media used or speed of backups etc. Now these let me call them Ghost Jobs run for ever if not terminated. Now if we try to terminate it using the command line it does not get terminated same result from the GUI. The only way to clear these ghost jobs is to recycle the netbackup services. This is very unpractical as we have a heavy schedule and have to wait till all other active jobs are done. Any solutions would be welcome.
PS : one interesting thing noticed was that all these ghost jobs have the same process id on the server!!

What is the All_Logs saying ?
Is it stuck on mounting media ?

Have you tries restarting the Netbackup Client on those clients ?
Are you able to view the properties of those clients ?

Mayur,

No it does not show stuck on mountin media. The issue has been solved by upgrading to MP3 on NBU 5.1 as specified by veritas.
Coming back to the issue There is absolutely no data on what is happeing with the backup.Only the start time and time elapsed. The client properties were visible.
