Hi,
Is there a command in NetBackup 7.1.0.4 that I can run to tell my how old our tapes are? We are trying to rotate out old tapes and need a way to find out how old our oldest tapes are.
We are running Windows 2008.
Thanks for the help.

there is a colom called "created" in netbckup GUI--> Media , it will give the data when the media has been added to the netbackup.database. probably that will give an idea... i think..

Hi,
vmquery -a will show you this
media ID: 1020L4
media type: 1/2" cartridge tape 2 (14)
barcode: E01020L4
media description: Added by Media Manager
volume pool: NetBackup (1)
robot type: TLD - Tape Library DLT (8)
robot number: 0
robot slot: 20
robot control host: app-01
volume group: 000_00000_TLD
vault name: ---
vault sent date: ---
vault return date: ---
vault slot: ---
vault session id: ---
vault container id: -
created: Mon 18 Aug 2014 01:09:53 PM GST
assigned: ---
last mounted: ---
first mount: ---
expiration date: ---
number of mounts: 0
max mounts allowed: ---
So you can see the create date, and how many mounts the tape has.

... providing the tapes weren't deleted and readded, yes, vmquery.
