Hi all,
I restarted the machine installed NBU server just now but failed.
The OS of the machine is Linux RH5.6.
The starting is OK until the screen shows as: NBUServer login:
Whatever I type, the screens is frozen.
NBUServer is the server name of NBU in this machine.
What I should do? It's the first time I reboot this machine. The installation was done by the other people.
Thanks

Do you need to know how to reboot the server or how to restart NetBackup?
Before doing anything, please check what NBU processes are running.
Please post output of /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpps -x

Hi Marianne,
I reboot the machine without stopping NBU Server.
Now I can't start the machine, so I can't run bpps -x.
Regards.

"Whatever I type, the screens is frozen."
Are you sure it's not just the keyboard that's failed?
Can you connect to this server remotely e.g. via telnet or whatever?

Can you ping the backup server from your desktop?
Can you use something like putty to connect to the machine?
Seems you have problem with server/OS.
You need assistance from from server and/or OS support team.
