Is there a 7.0.1 upgrade log file?

trying upgrade by hand using the setup.exe on a windows 2008 x64

It does the upgrade and gets to starting services when it rolls back.

Cannot figure out why,  and yes I am running it as administrator.

looking at the doc associated with the actual download:

3) Examine the

     %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Symantec\NetBackup\InstallLogs\
     NetBackup Install.<date>.<identifying number>.htm

  file to ensure that no errors took place during the installation.

  Search the install log for the following string to determine if an error has
  occurred. "Return Value 3".

Have to set up your view to show hidden files/folders

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp

file name

NetBackup Install.20100114.200245.log

                               date         (not time was done at 3:02 pm)
