Matching tape labels to file names Netbackup 7.1

Given Netbackup 7.1 installed on a windows server, I need to be able to retreive tape label information for files on a linux server. I've investigated bplist and that appears to be able to give me each time a file was backed up. I should be able to parse the output from this then do some trickery to feed bpimmedia. bpimedia appears to be able to give me what I want. bpcplimagelist just tells me that images were created and when, but no info on lables.

I've also have been told that 7.5 makes this process much simpler, can anyone tell me this for sure? If so i could use that as yet another lever to get our system upgraded.

I think bpimagelist will help you

Netbackup really "think" (or work) in backup images. If you list backup images with bpimagelist you will get the tapes where those images resides as well.
