The customer lost the drfile and We're performing import phase 1 to

recovery the catalog backup tape.
The problem is: We have 40 tapes and We just imported 13, the rest show: (media read error 85) and is imposible to perform import phase 2.

What can I do to import the all tapes and restore the catalog in this case?

Netbackup 7.1
Linux Red Hat 5.5

We really hope somebody can help us in this case. Thanks a lot

As per my understanding you have lost the DR file and unable to perform catloag recovery due to which you are trying to import the tapes. First thing is if you have a proper catalog backup then no need to import the tapes and all , even if you lost the DR file you can recover that file by runinng a simple command .

Run the following command to retrieve all disaster recovery files from the catalog backup media:

bpimport -drfile media_id -drfile_dest fully_qualified_dir_name

This command recovers all disaster recovery files from the specified media ID and places them in the specified directory. The ID can be either a tape media ID or the fully qualified location of a disk storage unit.

For more info check on the Netbackup Troubleshooting guide.

on the second point " media read error" check if they have configured any encriptions of tapes or there may be change in the block size , go through the below link for more info...
