Move Netbackup to a new domain

Hi,

I have a few netbackup master servers (ver 6.0MP7 and ver 6.5.6) running on windows 2003 server. They are joined to domain "example1.domain.company" (Active Directory integrated dns). I would like to move those servers to the new domain: "example2.domain.company".

Is this possible and supported?

Does anyone has a procedure how to do it?

From your example it seems you want to change the hostname and not just the domain name?

If only the domain name will change (hostname stays the same) and server names are currently known by EMM with short names, the change might work. You will have to give us more info - such as 'nbemmcmd -listhosts'.

This example will work:

hostname master is currently in domain1.com (master.domain1.com). nbemmcmd shows master server and EMM server as master.

Changing master to domain2.com will not be problem.

If everything in NBU is configured with FQDN, changing to a new domain will be perceived as a hostname change - requiring consulting services.
