NDMP tape backups are falling with 96 Error

Hello Team,

We have recently change the Drives which are faulty

Those drives are Connected to ACSLS library make those as NDMP drives

and After changing the Drives , while configuring the Drives numbers hasbeen channged

No backups are happening from that point , always gettin 96 erros even enough no.of tapes availble in the pool

MAster server - 6.5.6 - south-nbumast-01

client - despina ( filer )

Do you need any othere details please let me know

Its very critical backups whch are not running foem couple of months

Version of netbackup 6.5.6

When you changed the drives, did the new drives perhaps get detected as a different type (HCART2 instead of HCART3, etc)?

 

Make sure the drive type matches the storage unit and the media in the robot exactly.

Please show us output of the following commands:

On the media server that is configured as NDMP media server:
tpconfig -l
(command is in /usr/openv/volmgr/bin)

On the master server:

bpstulist -U
bppllist <policy-name> -U
(commands are in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd)

available_media
(command is in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies)
If this command produces lots of output, please redirect output to a file (e.g. media.txt) and upload here as File Attachment.

PS:
Are you aware of the fact that NBU 6.x ran out of support in 2012?
