Hello All,
We are planning to migrate NBU 7.0 from windows 2003 to windows 2008. and we will be having 3 months retention for our data and inorder to do restore in future with out having the use of old master server can use "nbemmcmd -movedb" to do restore from new master server. and i want to take Full catalog backup and want to recover in New master server and need to copy "catalog backup from old master server to new master server. Apart from this do in need to do any thing,

hi John,
if you are going to rename the master server also as a part of refresh... the only method you have is to get the Symantec technical support or symatec authorized conslutant.
symatec does not recommend the users to do the master server rename.

Hello Nagalla ,
The DOCS are stating that need to provide same master Serever Name and IP address, but in our case we are giving the name and IP as different. Can you please sugget me how to proced with this.

Please read through both TNs that Nagalla provided.
You will see that the second TN states that Master server hostname change is a consulting engagement.
IP address change is fine, but not hostname change, as the master server hostname is deeply embedded in server databases and therefore requires a specialist to change this hostname.
