NetBackup 7.0.1 Integration with VC Client.

We are using NetBackup 7.0.1 to backup a vSphere 4.1 environment. 

We have a subset of VMs which are not being backed up by vStorage API and won't be , for business reasons I don't want to bore you with.

One feature I would really like is the ability of NB to edit the notes of a VM to publish the fact that that VM is being backed up by NB for VMware. Right now I use PowerCLI to edit the notes but automation is limited as I have to export the list of VMs from the Media server first, format the list as CSV and so forth.

Has anybody come across this? Is this available right now, will it be in 7.1 ?

We do not have anything like that integrated, however did you maybe consider using bpstart/bpend notify. While I am typing the message I am not sure if this will work or not since NBU7+FBU we do not use those scripts anymore, but the nbu snap admin guide says you have to actually point to a script now directly.

So it still works, but they are not called bpstart/bpend notify.
