NetBackup 7.7.1 Sharepoint SQL access

Installed latest greatest Enviroment: * Windows 2012r2 on allhost/servers * Netbackup server/client 7.7.1 * Done by the book.. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.HOWTO73100 but might be a issue regarding SA on SQL. Question: The DBA doesnt want to give away the SA account for the SQL-Server, is there another way to do this on? Or what is the techincal requirement for the SA on, why do it need so much rights?

There is no way around SQL permissions. Work with the dba. Let him/her enter account logon permissions. This means that there will be no need to share credentials with you.

Correct. Since NetBackup uses MS APIs it has to have permissions to access the SP data.
