NBAC and nbaudit are 2 different concepts, but work hand-in-hand if you want to know 'who did what and when'.
See:
About NetBackup auditing http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO105855
Have a look at all the links in above HOWTO.
Such as:

Yes. It is called NBAC - NetBackup Access control.
See chapter 4 of NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide

except NNAC you also need to turn on the auditing so that it can be viewed. Also these audits can be viewed in OpsCenter. Its cool feature and I like it.

NBAC - provides more granular level of security access, more complicated when comes to managing.
For a basic level security access, you can use auth.conf for accessing to NBU Java GUI.

Hi Marianne,
I believe it is enabled for the fresh installations of 7.5/7.6. But the one which you upgrade needs to be enabled manually.
I have done it recently.

Or maybe you mean audits as in data security , retention and hold perhaps?
Or another alternative is internal/external audit of process.
Theres a few interpretations, please clarify. Jim
