Netbackup GUI failed to start on Solaris 10

Dear All,

 

I have installed veritas netbackup 6.0 on solaris 10 operating system which is running on sunfire v890.  i'm connected to this unix box via xbrowser.  after the installation of the netbackup plus the agents and the entering of the licenses, when I open the netbackup gui: # ./usr/openv/netbackup/bin/jnbSA & I get the below message:

The output you've supplied is a little illegible, but in the first instance it seems to be indicating a permissions issue - cannot create jbp.root.jnbSA.4976.log?

 

Can you confirm the permissions for the directory /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/nbjlogs ?

 

e.g

# pwd

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/nbjlogs
# ls -al
total 6
drwxrwxrwx   2 root     bin          512 Feb  3 13:19 .
drwxrwxrwx   5 root     bin          512 Feb  3 08:18 ..

Hi,

 

Is there exist usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops directory?

usr_ops is necessary to Java Administration Console.

Create user_ops directory if does not exist. and try again.
