Netbackup Snapshot...will it reduce pre-processing load on the client?

I'm running into an issue with backing our file server which has about 190G of data shared out on NFS it causes the cpu load to increase!   Would using the Veritas Snapshot feature help or it would just cause a load?

will cause load, because is holding all the files that cannot backup, this is an extra task for the netbackup client, so is more load for the server.

Thanks Omar but what do you mean by "hold" files?  How does it Snapshotting work with Netbackup work in laymen's terms?
