Hi All,
I'm new to Netbackups, any help is much appreciated.
Problem:
After specifying the Netbackup Machines and Policy Type from Backup, Archive, and Restore window, we click on Select for Restore to see the netbackup history.
This window takes long time to open up, Presume, netbackup is reading all the days on which backups happened and hence the long time.
Is there any way to displaly only few days data - This will help in netbackup history coming up quicky and then we select the required date to proceed further or any othway to get this window quicky please.
Thank you,
Imran.

go to the properties of the master server
universal settings
"Browse time frame for restores"
uncheck it and it won't try to show you files for any day until you click it.
or change it to 1 day.

If..... you use compression on your catalog then Netbackup has to uncompress before showing the files that can be selected. The largwer the date spread then the more files that need to be uncompressed.
And....you can select the date the last full backup ran on the GUI or else it will default to the last full plus all incremental backup images.
But...you can also use the command line to do the restores and bypass the extremely slow GUI. checkout the manual pages for bprestore
