Netbackup license keys

Hi All,

We have just purchased few licenses for netbackup, puredisk, and additional clients. Just wanted to confirm whether i just need to add them to master or they need to be added anywhere else as well.

To install NetBackup master server or media server software, you must enter a NetBackup product license key.

For some features and products, license keys must also be entered on the media server. Those features and products are as follows:

■ Library-based tape drives feature

■ NDMP

We already backup infrastructure in place. Over the time we have congifured more clients and agents in netbackup and purchased more keys to be in compliance.

I wanted to ask whether these additional licenses needs to be added to master only through GUI or anywhere else also.

Puredisk DeDuplication Option license needs to be installed in the Master Server. You need to install the plugin in Media Server.
