Hi Friends,
Could you please let me know the best practices to have Netbackup sql agent for MS SQLAO ( clusterd SQL server).
NBU Master server: 7.6.0.2 on windows 2012 R2
Client SQL server : 7.6.0.2 on Windows 2012 R2 VM server
Thanks in advance,
Steve

AlwaysOn unfortunately not (yet) supported.
See NetBackup 7 Application/Database Agent (CL): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH126904
Hopefully someone else with AO can share their experience.

HI All,
Thanks for your replies...and sorry for late reply as I was busy with some other work.
We have environmental issues with SQLAO (SQL cluster always online) clusterd server backups on Vm's.
So we taking backup of these vm's under file system backups instead of Netbackup Vmware snapshot backups and SQL DB backups happening by using Netbackup SQL agent backups
Also domain controllers on vm's is covered under normal file system backups instead of Netbackup vmware backups, because vm's are getting hung if netbackup vmware snapshot backups enabled due to lot of issues like quiescing, snapshot deletion etc...

This sounds like the best backup strategy in your environment.
