NBU Master = 7.1.0.3, Win2008 Ent. R2 64x
Clients = NBU 6.0-7.1, multiple OS from Win2003, 2008, AIX, Unix, etc)
I know I'm seeing these random 24's due to high network traffice. Is there a TN that addresses how to tweak for this?

If you have high network traffic, you should perhaps look at that. If you have a poor network, Netbackup will notice it and you will see failed jobs.
If you raise a case with Symantec they can run a tool called 'sas' which will check the status of your network connection between media server and client.
