I am trying to add some new cleaning tapes to our NetBackup environment. I have researched both manual and barcode methods, but am having trouble finding out what media type I have. We use a IBM robot and believe that the media type for our catridges would be LTO4. When I go into Netbackup and try to add the new volume information for my cleaning tapes there is no selection for LTO. Clearly I am misunderstanding what Symantec is describing as media type... Also I went in and looked at our existing media type for cleaning tapes that are currently in our inventory (inheritied system), and they show to be HC_Clean which is also not a selection under the media type field. Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong?
