Dear Experts,

NBU 7.0.1 Windows 2003 SP2

I ran into a strange issue with Dell PVT4000 library.

I am able to configure tape drives and run backup if the drives are not shared. I configured the drives from master server and ran backup which was successful. But when I shared the drives with other media servers(tried with two media servers) it fails with "No drives are available(2001)".

post the output of vmoprcmd and tpconfig -l from all servers

Are you able to see the drives UP in respective media servers where you shared and showing all the drive info correct?

If no, reconfigure the drives.

If Yes, check the robotic control for the drive and cross verify the robot assigned to the storage unit is matching or not.

Did you add SSO license (Shared Storage Option) on all media servers?

Have you tried to delete all devices and use the Device Config wizard to re-add?

Also make sure the other media servers "state" is set to active_for_tape.

Check by running: nbemmcmd -listhosts -verbose
