No manual backups are running , all the require services are up

Manual as well as schedule backup are running on master server (version 7.1) OS solaris 10.

All services are up on master/media.

I'm going to assume you mean that neither manual nor scheduled backups are running. When you iniate a manual backup do you recieve any error messages?

I am not getting any errors. but cant see any thing activity monitor as well as in CLI

Nbpem is deffinately running? You may want to try bouncing NBU and see if that does anything.

Did restarting services have any effect?

You may stop the services on Media Servers first and then the Master Server.While starting, first start the services on Master Server and then all the Media Servers. You may use bp.kill_all command to terminate the process that do not get killed.

NBU Java console respons Late when you do and service Refresh, SO as an best practices alway wait for about 10 minutes or so to see the actully status..

mean time bpdbjobs -summary would be the right things to monitor .
