RMAN backup is failing in netbackup 6.5.3

Hi All,

We are facinfg the problem with netbackup rman in our main server. The error is as follows:

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============

RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on ch00 channel at 10/19/2010 07:27:37
ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="bk_4010_1_732785255", parms=""
ORA-27028: skgfqcre: sbtbackup returned error
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
   VxBSAValidateFeatureId: Failed with error:
   Server Status:  unexpected message received

Please create dbclient log directory on client under .../netbackup/logs. If Unix do 'chmod 777 dbclient'.

Rerun backup and post contents of dbclient log.

Solution

Ah... I know my issue...

For oracle backup service, netbackup had check 3 things for online backup.
1. Policy --> use virtual name.
2. bp.conf --> use virtual name (or use virtual name to install)
3. send parameter on rman backup script.

and then backup, I use this solution and it can backup successful.
