Restoring/importing old images (3.1,3.4,4.5, 5.x) to 6.5

Hi,

We're planning an upgrade from 5.1 to 6.5 and wondering about backwards compatibility. We have images stored on LTO1 and were wondering whether it is possible to restore or import images from older NetBackup releases (down to 3.1). Does it matter if the OS changes ?

Are there any documents/papers that discuss this ?

Below is an excerpt from Page 14 of the Release Impact Bulletin for Netbackup 6.5. The bulletin has detailed information about backward compatibilty for Netbackup 6.5

As long as you still use LTO1 drives or drives that can read LTO1 tapes you should be able to restore the data.
