Robot inventory not showing any medias

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to do a robot inventory and its not displaying any contents of the librry as well as when i am trying using the bpadm and the vmadm utility the inventory fails stating
" unable to initiate child process(88)"
There's a TCP/IP connection error in the requlib logs.

The backups and restore on the box is happening ok, any idea guys.
Looking forward to all your suggesstions and recommendations in these regard.

Are you running 5. or 6. I ran into a problem similar to this on 6.0 mp3 and it was because pbx had lost it's marbles. shut down netbackup stop pbx start pbx start nebackup.

otherwise try running sgcan to make sure you can see everything. Possibly stop then restart netbackup if you can.

To stop the pbx_exchange daemon:
# /opt/VRTSpbx/bin/vxpbx_exchanged stop

To start the pbx_exchange daemon:
# /opt/VRTSpbx/bin/vxpbx_exchanged start

Thank you so much friends for your suggestions , the problem was with the vmcheckxxx binary. It had somehow become 0 bytes and was causing the inventory to do nothing. wirerd.
