Hey.

Executing backup of server fails every time with Status 13: file read failed, but backup of sql server 2012(installed on this server) works properly. In same time backup of windows server 2008r2 by same policy works perfectly.

Maybe somebody have positive experience of resolving this issue?
any suggestions....

Environment:
- master : windows sever 2008r2 netbackup 7.5.0.7
- media1 and media2: windows server 2008r2
- client : windows server 2008(sql server 2012 installed) netbackup 7.5.0.6

Apologies - we have missed your post...

Please tell us what you have in Backup Selection for this policy?

What is Client Read Timeout on media server? The default is 300 (5 min). Try to increase it to 900.

To troubleshoot, ensure the following log folders exist:

On media server: bptm and bpbrm

On client: bpbkar

After next failure, copy logs to .txt files (e.g. bpbkar.txt) and upload as File attachments.

also make sure the SQL files like *.mdf, *.ndf & *.ldf is exclude from the file backup
