Tape drive is active but without a tape

Hi all,
 
We have a tape library with 3 tape drives. 1 of the tape drive is in active state for few days, however no tape are assigned. With this situation, only 2 tape drive can be use for backup jobs.
 
Tired to reset, down the tape drive, but the error: drive is currently assigned. Not sure what is the reason for this.

SSO? if so then use vmdareq to release the tape

There is no tape inside the tape drive. However it's status is active. So backup jobs will only use another 2 tape drives.
 
On administration console, under device monitor -> control =ACTIVE
If an empty tape drive the control=TL8.

Hi try this: http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/193280.htm you will know if something is wrong with the drive configuration and is a good tape drives troubleshooting way.

Problem solved after I restart Media manager device daemon. Thank you.
