Transaction log backup failed on SQL Server 2000

Hi,

I am using netbackup 6.0 MP6 master server to backup an SQL server 2000 client host. I am facing a problem while backing up the transaction logs of the SQL server. I am faacing this problem randomly, which means sometimes the transaction log backup fails and sometimes completes successfully and not always on the same instanaces. The hourly log backups fails only at night when the differential backup is running.

My trasaction log backup is initiated every one hour.

Error Logs:

netbackup master server: Status code 2 

Netbackup client logs:

- Info error: GetConfiguration 0x80770003

- Info: the api was waiting and the timeout interval had elapsed.

What if there are no transaction logs to be backed up at that time? Will the same error be logged?

Is this error due to the differential job that is running at the same time?

...there are several/many root causes.

Post back if you are still having an issue after having exhausted and/or ruled out all of the possible causes.  And, more importantly, please post back with your solution if/when you determine the fix.
