Was there ever a resolution to this?  I have the same issue.

Thanks.

I was getting this when the liveupdate agent on the clients was not able to find the liveupdate server.

It can happen for two reasons:

1. You are using UNC path instead of http server. Even though the manual says UNC is supported, at this point it is bugged and does not work. You have to set up your liveupdate server as HTTP server.

2. If you have an http liveupdate server set up, your client is not pointing to it. When you reinstall the client, put in the path to the http server.

I am very new to netbackup myself, but I hope this helps.
