Please upgrade directly to 7.5.04 as it has fixed lot of issues. You can directly upgrade 6.x to 7504.

Just check the pre-requisites first - when you open the browser.exe to do the installation their is an environment check that you can run to make sure you are OK - run this ahead of time and it will advise you of anything that you are missing
