Vault Job - How to cancel it? (not the duplication batches one by one...)

Hi,
We are running 6.0MP2 and each time I want to cancel a vault, I have to cancel manually each and every single duplication batches.

Do you know a faster way?

You mean you cancel individual child jobs?
May be you can cancel the parent job

Hi guys

with Netbackup 6.0 when running a vault job, it fires a parent session and then the parent process gives birth to all the child processes in successions which is very similar to the sql database backup using a script file( online hot backup of sql databases ). to terminate a vault job, you need to manually terminate the child processes and then the parent processes i believe again similar to the sql backup, if the parent process is terminated maybe the child processes would result into a hung state.

Hmmmm. I see. Is killing the vault process on Master server good option?

check the binaries in the vaulting section. There should be a command to cancel or kill vaulting. If there is not a man page then you can run the binaries with -help to get a hint of the usage.
