Hello all,

I am running one windows file sytem backup having size 2GB.But its running from last 3 and half hrs and in the activity monitor

still showing as  '0' files written with '0' KB per second.Percentage completed also showing as 0%.

I have checked the backup files, client server connectivity, port status(13724,13782),netbackup service status from client as well as server.

The client is getting connected properly on Netbackup console.

Backup is still running.

The  master server which is using here is :Solaris 10 Sparc

Netbackup Master version:7.0.1

Netbackup client version:6.0MP4

Please provoide the solution for the same.

Thanks and Regards,

Vishnavi

What is the OS on the Client?

Any reason for such old NBU software on the client? (NBU 6.x ran out of support about a year ago.)

Is this a new client that has never been backed up before?
Or did this client backup successfully up to now?
If it worked before, what has changed?

You need the following logs to confirm if client is sending data to the media server and to see if the media server is receiving any data:

On media server: bpbrm and bptm

On client: bpbkar

The client OS is 'Windows 2003'.

Its an old setup and they have taken backup of the same client on last month also.

As per my knowledge no other changes has been done.

Please upgrade this client software to 7.0.1 and ensure log folders exist as per my previous post.
