Did you mean:

accessing win netbackup master from linux machine (reporting)

Dear All,

we have a windows based netbackup environment 1 master, 6 media servers.

for reporting I found that it is easier to use linux (grep, awk, sed, ..)

is there a way to issue the reporting commands from my linux box and set the master server like:

vmquery -h <EMM_server>

basically i'd like to run the commands on my linux machine instead of the windows master

what do i setup, install?

thanks

g

If you installed NB on the linux server and configured it as a media server, those commands would be available.

This is, of course, provided the server's Linux version. is in our compatability list for the version of NB you are at.
