bptm logs dropping entries at start of day

Netbackup Enterprise 6.5.4FA on Win2003S X64
I am analysing bptm logs to tell me what backup & duplication jobs have run each day.  I use batch-file processing to compare it with a list of jobs that  _should_  have run (it's hard to get duplication info from Activity Monitor, and AM doesn't show missed jobs).  Our weekly backup windows open at 00:00:00 and jobs start a few seconds after.  But the bptm logs only start (after rollover) at 00:00:32-ish, so the entries showing the first jobs starting just aren't there!  Jobs starting a bit later are shown.
Is it a bug, or is there a caching/buffering parameter that should be set to ensure complete logs?
As a workaround, I can delay the window by 10mins to let bptm logging settle down, but complete logs would be better.
I have to use bptm logs - it seems that they are the only ones showing policy-name and job-type (backup/dup).
