how to add node to cluster name on aix media serwer ??

Hi,

Anybody knows how to add node to cluster name on aix media serwer, I have many NIC's and script cluster_config not working because this script writes me:

bmedia4@/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/cluster> ./cluster_config

NetBackup High Availability - configuration script for AIX HACMP clusters.

Installed HACMP version is 5.4.1.4

Enter the virtual name (i.e. service label) for NetBackup : xbmedia
Enter the network on which the virtual name is to be visible: net_ether_00
net_ether_02
net_ether_03
net_ether_04: net_ether_00
Service label: xbmedia will be configured on hacmp network: net_ether_00
OK to Proceed (y/n)? y
Error: Duplicate IP address [10.3.128.42] on bmedia4_srv2 and xbmedia.
ERROR: write_config_file failure
ERROR - claddnode command failed!

Why this scripts chack /etc/hosts file?????

anybody knows how to workaround this script???

 Look to me as the server IP address and Netbackup cluster IP is the same - They need to be diffrent.

This is from the HA manual, Under AIX HACAMP:

Verify that you have a service IP address and an associated name (virtual name) to configure for NetBackup. This name and address must be present in the /etc/hosts file on all nodes before you install NetBackup.

the server IP address and Netbackup cluster IP are not the same.

But IP service IP adres in HACMP cluster is the same as Virtual IP adres (but names are different)

I think you need to use unique resolvable addresses. Netbackup is picky about forward/reverse DNS lookups.

In my cluster I have :

1IP for node1  {moon}.domain.com
1IP for node2   {gaia}.domain.com
1IP for the VCS service {clusterservice}.domain.com (that would be the HACAMP for you, I guess)
1IP for Netbackup {sky}.domain.com

Both host IP, VCS service IP, and Netbackup IP run through the same NIC. But all DNS names and their IP are unique.
