hyper-V type Policy validation failed

Hi mates,

here is my issue and i hope if you can assist:

netbackup 7.6.0.2  when configuring  hyper-V type Policy validation failed

Master server AIX
Netbackup agent installed  in hyper-v host Windows 2012 R2 U1
only one VM

installed

still getting validation error,

Are you perhaps running the NetBackup console from another server or your desktop? It might be that the source where you're working from doesn't have rights/access (as per the server list) to the hyperv hosts.

im running the console from the same server :(

Might then be that the hyperv host cannot resolve the name of the master/backup host. Check the bpcd log on the client.

Hello,

Please make sure that the client allows communication from the media server trying to access it.

TECH75451 talks about this and the steps to fix it. Go to the clients section and load the properties of the client, add the media server to the servers list.
