image Cleanup 83 error

hi,

we have a Windows backup domain(6.5.6, I know it's old, but we have plan to do the upgrade in near future), we back up the data to EMC data domain.

Last week we change the Ip address for both NBU master and Data domain from 10.2.1.XX to 10.22.66.XX.....

we updated the STU settings as well and the backups look good after this IP change.

but we have  image Cleanup 83 error. please look into the below for datail error.

it still shows the obsolete Ip address for the STU( which is the IP for the Data domain before)........

so how can I correct this issue?

I guess you never tested restores from images done before IP address change? Images are stored with IP address configured for STU name.

NBU also needs to clean out images on the DSU when images expire.
You can see that that NBU cannot find the images at original address.
NBU-side of image expiration can be solved with 'nbdelete -allvolumes force' but this will not cleanup images on DD.

See http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62005

I am not sure how you will solve DD cleanup problem and restore from older images - all I can think of is to run a phase 1 import of all images on the DD.

nbcatsync may also help - see http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH127922 and http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO43774
