P.S. storage unit wizard is not working...

What exactly is not working?
Are you getting an error message?

Why not just use 'Storage' -> 'Storage Unit' node in the Windows Admin Console?

Hi Nicolai..

I did as you told..

bpsturep -label fujitsu-1-hcart2-tld0 -host fujitsu-1 -density hcart2 -rt TLD -rn 0 -maxmpx 30

But it changed MAX MPX/drive ...but not number of concurrent drive..

HERE: is output of bpstulist -U

Label: fujitsu-1-hcart2-tld0
Storage Unit Type: Media Manager
Host Connection: fujitsu-1
Number of Drives: 1
On Demand Only: no
Max MPX/drive: 30
Density: hcart2 - 1/2 Inch Cartridge 2
Robot Type/Number: TLD / 0
Max Fragment Size: 1048576 MB

It should be like this

Label:                Geo-V890_2-hcart2-robot-tld-0
Storage Unit Type:    Media Manager
Host Connection:      Geo-V890_2
Number of Drives:     40
On Demand Only:       no
Max MPX/drive:        1
Density:              hcart2 - 1/2 Inch Cartridge 2
Robot Type/Number:    TLD / 0
Max Fragment Size:    1048575 MB

Just because you have a storage unit will not make it work - you also need the devices created too before a storage unit is of any use

If the device wizard is not working what have you done?

As a minimum you would need to go to device and add a new robot, select the media server and browse to the robot - if you cannot see it then it will not work

Same for the drives - they all need adding too

If you havent done this and under devices you do not see 40 drives then no command should allow you to set the Storage Unit Properties

Start with the device first and then worry about the STU

Ahh so you are meaning "Number of Drives" and not "Max MPX/drive".

I was tricked by the "max concurrent drive" in you're initial post.

Silly me :)

I did as Marianne told with -cj option, and it worked..

But  again problem ((..

We have two type of robot..

robot TLD 0 -> VTL

robot TLD 1 -> TAPE

TLD 0 is working fine..But TLD 1 is not working.. What can I do..  We restarted the media server and master server..no  changes...

robot TLD 1 error is  here :

Error nbjm (pid=20811) NBU status: 219, EMM status: Storage unit is not defined in EMM
the required storage unit is unavailable  (219)
