I have sql server that running on windows server 2003 x86 sp2.

Yesterday, I experienced on the server 100% cpu usage. Thus, I naturally checked the "Task Scheduler" to see if there is some processes that cause to this issue and this is what I saw:

bpclntcmd.JPG

As a result of this, I stopped all the services of the netbackup by using bpdown -v -f then all the processes died and the cpu usage decrease to 40%.

please adivse.

what is the netbackup version on the client?

does any backups are running on the server at time of this issue?

if yes how many streams?

does this just client or Media server too?

Hello Nagalla,

The NBU version on the client is 7.5.0.6.

The backups on this client finished during the night and wasn't at the same time that the serve got 100% cpu usage.

This is only a client, no Media server.

Thank you
