i need to find a solution to proceed this step while installaing netbackup 7.5 client :

 

Checking LiveUpdate registration for the following products: CLT
This may take a few minutes.
 
Product CLT is installed and will be registered.
 
Updating LiveUpdate registration now...this may take some time.
 
 
 
File /usr/openv/tmp/install_trace.11407 contains a trace of this install.
That file can be deleted after you are sure the install was successful.

Not sure what the issue is here?

Is the installation failing?

Please post the installation log ( /usr/openv/tmp/install_trace.11407) as File attachment (copy to .txt file before attaching).

here is the attach log file and yes the installation doesn't proceed

No issue seen in your log file, did you mean the installation process just stuck there and did not exit to the prompt?

It might just be doing that LiveUpdate registration... it doesn't matter if you don't use LiveUpdate.

Issue

While upgrading a media server from NetBackup 6.5.4 to 7.1, the upgrade appears to hang with the displayed message, "Checking liveupdate registration".

Cause


liveupdate attempts to verify the liveupdate registration but this step is not required.

Solution

Press ctrl + c to cancel registration.  The upgrade will complete successfully. 

No LiveUpdate registration is required for NetBackup media servers or clients.
The same problem can happen when upgrading from 6.0 to 7.1.
