vault with encryption

hello

i've created one vault profile with the below configuration

1 master server with media server installed in the same

select image 1 day ago, duplicate this image to offsite pool.

now we have 2 images one we took yesterday (original) second we took with the duplication?

please correct me if i am wrong.

Another question:

For complete solution, i want to encrypt image before sending it offsite. i am planning to buy MSEO. how technically i can apply the encryption to the vault offsite image?

i will use another media server to vault and encrypt the images, how i can implement this. i just need a very high level technical recommendation.

Best option for you is to backup to disk in native format and then through MSEO policy you can select to encrypt the copy which will be duplicated..

Another question , are you going to compress the the data with MSEO Agent?

No compression. only encryption.

Actually i didn't install the MSEO as i am planning to buy it. i am just collecting information about how i can implement it.

if i will use MSEO to encrypt a disk copy, what is the benifet of vault in that case. i need to use both in as a proper way of vauling as symantec  recommends.
