I am so confused...... (mainly becuse I am NOT a windows person - but have to deal with it because I do backups).
I have been trying to figure out just what files I need to setup a Windows 2008 servers.
I have gotten the follwoing.
NB_CLT-6.5.2.WIN2008SC.x86.exe
NB_6.5.2.WinX64_CD.exe
NetBackup_6.5.2_Win2008_x64.zip.
-------------------------------------------------
this is what my windows admin tells me.
may not start with any Server Core x86 but may have some in the future.
Will have a mix of both x64 and x86 (x86 as stated above may be a mix of SC and what I call Normal)
-----------------------------------------------
so once I upgrade my master to 6.5.2a I can start testing Windows 2008
but which do I install on what?
you see I do NOT have a x86 Normal, I only have an x86SC.
the other two are both x64 are the both the same or different.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I have already opened a call to support and that is where I got all this confusion.....
so I was just wondering if anybody else has figured out which files get installed on which servers?

Hi
NB_CLT-6.5.2.WIN2008SC.x86.exe -----> Client exe under the CD or you can download it
NB_6.5.2.WinX64_CD.exe -----> Netbackup CD with Netbackup Master/Media/Client bins
NetBackup_6.5.2_Win2008_x64.zip. ----> Netbackup zip with Netbackup Master/Media/Client bins (download file)
has you see any of the 3 version works for a client install, just be sure that you are using the 32/64bit option and during the install only select Install Netbackup Client and avoid any of the Master or Media server options.
Hope this helps.
