How long does OpsCenter expect to collect 1st round data from Netbackup 7.1 ?

I get install a OpsCenter on a standalone server (W2k8 R2) server. Version: Version 7.1 (Build 20110203). I have a mater server(netbackup 7.1) on another W2k8 server.

I make sure both servers are on same network and disable firewall rules on Windows OS.

Under Settings > Configuration > Netbackup. I could see it could get record on it. But status keep 3 hrs still display "no connected". Does it anything which I miss configuration ?

It suppose to do that. Any account or authenization I need to setup on that OpsCenter to connect to Netbackup server ?

How long does it expect to get 1st round data from Master server ?

How do I check Master server PBX service is running fine ?

This might be because of any one of the following :

• OpsCenter machine is not reachable (pingable) from NetBackup or vice versa
• OpsCenter machine name is not present in NetBackup host properties/bp.conf
• On NetBackup PBX port (1556) is not opened (firewall) for connections from OpsCenter.

I found it need to update Registry on Master server, and it works.

No firewall, PBX services issue.

Admin pdf file does not mentioned it.

Initial syncup of Netbackup and Opscenter might take time depends on the size of Netnbackup database but 'not connected ' points to another issue . First make sure your opscenter is able to communicate with Netbackup master server ?
