We have a Solaris 9 server with Netbackup 6.0 MP4 and VxVM 3.5 installed. Now we have plans to migrate to VxVM 5.0 from VxVM 3.5. The new Volume Maneger version installs two packages, VRTSpbx and VRTSicsco, which already are found installed on the server because Netbackup 6.0 installed them. The problems is that the Netbackup 6.0 packages version are different from those that come in the VxVM 5.0 CD.
Packages Version Version
VRTSpbx 1.2.2.41
VRTSicsco
My question is, if the VRTSpbx and VRTSicsco packages that come with VxVM 5.0 are compatibles with Netbackup 6.0, that is, can we replace the Netbackup packages with the VxVM 5.0 packages, or should we preserve the Netbackup 6.0 packages because the new ones are incompatibles.
