In my opinion, the volumes created by VxVM are virtual block devices. For example in Linux, in most cases, there will be a I/O request queue for each block device. So, is there a queue for each VxVM volume? If not so, are the I/Os from the volumes dispatched to the real block devices (SCSI devices) directly by DMP and queued there?
