dirty region

hi,

it is highly recommended to have a DRL on mirror disks,on root mirrored disks?

if i have an journaled file system on data slice like ext3,so on then dirty region is highly recommended or it is fine to have mirrored volumes without DRL?

DRL like journaled file system is used in faster recovery after a crash or power outage.

tnx

Hi,

Please note that that the DRL is (as you mentioned) supposed to protect against failures and it will allow faster resync of the mirror.

It does not know or care what the file system is. a DRL log is very small so why not have it in place?
