Hi

How to distingiush whether the path was disabled by admin or it was disabled due to any error.

When we execute # vxdisk path the o/p is

SUBPATH DANAME DMNAME GROUP STATE
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c1t0d0s2 c1t0d0s2 mydg01 mydg ENABLED
c2t0d0s2 c1t0d0s2 mydg01 mydg ENABLED
c1t1d0s2 c1t1d0s2 mydg02 mydg ENABLED
c2t1d0s2 c1t1d0s2 mydg02 mydg DISABLED

How to check whether the path "c2t1d0s2 " was diabled by admin or it was disabled due to path failure.

admin can disable the path via

/etc/vx/vxvm.exclude and also via /etc/vx/vxdmp.exclude

in your case if the disk which has disabled path does not showup in the above two files then most likely it was disabled due to path failure.
