Automate one off backup of F: drive

Hi, I am Looking to automate a one off backup of F: on a 2003 server and automate the restore on a new 2008 server. Can anyone advise on the best way to do this please ? Thanks/

A 'one-off' backup is known as an independent backup (this take a one off FULL backup).

This is no way to automate the restore though.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. Is there no powersehll commands I can use to do a restore ?

Yes, possibly. Take a look in the \Docs\Automation folder on the CD/ISO image.

Thanks. Had a look - there is a job there I caould use but it backs up the system default. Anyone any idea how I would change this to just backup the E:\

CreateImageNow.ps1 - Sorry, no idea about powershell!
