BESR 2010 Management Console

Hello,

After long trial and errors with this BESR Management Solution, i was able to create a package that just installs the console. In earlier versions i was able to just manage the computers with installed BESR. Now i seem to have to install this altiris agent first so the computers can be managed.

Is this really the way to go or is there a smart way to get all my BESR clients into a console?

I really just need the BESR part not the overloaded "all you can eat" altiris components.

When using BESR-MS (the 2010 management solution), the clients MUST have the following installed before you can manage them centrally:

1. BESR client (obviously)
2. Altiris Agent (aka Symantec Management Agent)
3. BESR Plug-in

If you want to use BESR-MS you have to install all 3 components. These can all be pushed out centrally using BESR-MS.
